4WD just enables the over-confident driver to get stuck deeper in snow, mud, sand, etc. Too many urban assault vehicle drivers figure 4WD enables them to plow ahead like they’re driving a tank or a Sno-cat.

Yeah, unless you have studs or chains (and maybe not even then), 4WD don’t mean shit when you try to start, stop, or steer on a sheet of ice.
