The GOP’s compassionate conservatism strikes again. Fuck people who suffer from natural disasters. NC has reliably gone for the GOP election after election (9 of 10 have been GOP for POTUS).

They get screwed out of disaster aid by the craven GOP. But NC voters will continue electing the people who screw them.

The GOP are the same ones who fucked with disaster aid after 9/11. After Sandy. After Katrina. Delaying disaster aid when it is most needed. That’s a core service of the government - the federal government - and the GOP simply doesn’t care.

Speaking of 9/11, that too is another aspect of the health care that the GOP would rather we not discuss. The GOP delayed access/coverage for first responders, dragging their feet on the Zadroga Act authorization and funding for years. That cost people their lives, added to their misery, and to their financial burdens, all because far too many listened to the federal EPA when they said that the air was safe to breathe.

So, when the GOP is busy saying how Trumpcare will cover more people and cost everyone less, don’t buy the baffling BS.

Clearly, a lot of people are waking up to this realization re: health care, but they’ll still vote these GOPers into office time and again.
