The cited article brings up a very sinister aspect of right wing thinking about a “limited” (ie not the Russians) nuclear war: The belief that the damage and loss of life would be concentrated in big cities (Democratic voters), with the “real America” largely unaffected. They would be positively ecstatic if Washington DC were nuked, since they sometimes fantasize about doing it themselves.
They won’t have to exterminate liberals after all, the North Koreans and Chinese will do it for them.
