No, it’s still used. We have two Halon suppression systems at my place of employment. One is in the server room and a smaller one in a switch closet.

Interesting. Considering what Kragar and you are saying, there must still be an allowance for any electrical or sensitive equipment fire prevention.

In auto racing, there are other replacements like 3M’s AFFF, but they are foam based and have some liquid content to help produce the soapy foam. Which of course is not good for electronics.
