Funny thing though: campaigns to punish advertisers for running ads on disapproved-of shows always seem to be more effective than the huffy “boycotts” wingers like to announce in response. Advertisers can be obviously seen to pull ads (and affect the outlets’ revenue: reputedly, Rush Limbaugh’s show is now a red-ink generator thanks to public campaigns): but very few of them seem to have their bottom-lines harmed by RW boycotts (or lefty ones for that matter).
