I’ve been on FB from the start so I’ve seen the platform’s evolution pretty much all the way through. Kind of miss when it was college kids only. It was a way of staying in touch with friends that were at other schools. And then around 2008, it started becoming what’s it become now. I don’t mind it in principle. I just wish some people wouldn’t be politics 24/7. Their whole identity is tied up to their politics.

It may have started out the way you say, but it sure looks like Marky didn’t want it to stay that way.

It became commercial and political as soon as it could. And that defeats the social aspect of it in my opinion.
