It’s funny. Sci fi has never really interested me at all but time travel has. I think it’s my interest in history.

I used to like time travel stories, but eventually switched over to alt-history stories because most time travel stories spend more time about “fixing” the change(s) in the timeline than exploring the consequences of such. I find it more interesting to see an author actually flesh out the world that exists due to changes made to events both important and minor than characters from the “correct” timeline going through the story trying to “get home.”
