Yeah. The Trump WH definitely wasn’t considering him to replace Sessions. And once again, how fucked is it that Sessions seems to have been relatively ethical.

He was a racist elf but he seemed to have some measure of honor, not simply recusing himself from the investigation but refusing to bend to demands he investigate Trump’s political enemies. But like so many others who have that “but,” the reality remains that he worked for Trump and so his legacy (such as it is) will always end on that smell of rancid shit.
