Judicial races have traditionally been nonpartisan, for obvious reasons, though that is beginning to change.

When there is a vacancy, the political affiliation is shown for each candidate; but once elected, the judge runs against their record with no party identification. 99% of the voters have no idea about the qualifications of judicial candidates.
