Did you know that the experts once predicted “global cooling,” only to flip their tunes to “global warming” when their predictions didn’t pan out?

Now before you say it, yeah, it’s total garbage that’s an absolute misrepresentation of the facts. But it’s been repeated enough times since the 70s by climate change deniers that a lot people believe it’s actually true.

Times like these, that evergreen quote springs up: “A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky animals and you know that.”

In the ’70s or ’80s, yes. From misunderstandings of some of their data. Corrected quickly.

The people whose interest it is to deny keep denying it, of course.

(I’m kinda wishing that the dumb, panicky animals on this site would go panic somewhere else. We really aren’t going to lose in the 2018 midterms, you know. I’m sure of it.)
