Mine tried to hit me with a bike lock and chain once. Fortunately, I was old enough to be able to take it away from her and send her back to her apartment in the basement of our house.

My father was extremely cool to let my mother’s mean mother stay with us even after my mom left him, because he knew she had nowhere else to go.
