I really don’t get how people of faith can think that God is there to save them from their own physical mistakes. I can understand believing he’s there to save from moral, spiritual, et al. mistakes, but the concept that God will swoop down and save a dumbass from the consequences of their own dumbassery seems to reduce God to a nanny.
