That’s what a lot of people don’t get. I mean LBJ probably wasn’t our most personally left wing president but he probably got more progressive legislation accomplished than many more progressive than him would have since he understood the legislative process.

I think you will get more progressive legislation out of a conservative Dem president and a progressive Congress than out of a progressive Dem president and a conservative/Republican Congress.
