They actually argued for tuition freezes at public universities, re-imposition of usury laws, and attacked Joe Biden in the 2004 book for being too soft on banks and writing bank-friendly legislation.

Remember that in our New Media Reality, having a long record of public service is a handicap, as it allows critics on both sides to pick out individual aspects to attack, whereas being an “outsider” with no record of public service (and unreleased tax records) is seen as a selling point.
