Jews were supposed to be allowed to pray at their holy sites from 1948-1967. We all know how that turned out. Also under the “Oslo” plan they were supposed to be allowed access to Yosef’s tomb. We also know how that turned out.

That’s why I don’t think it is a good idea. Of course, they’ll say it is the UN in charge, not the Arabs, but we know who really will be in charge.
Jewish sites will be desecrated, with at most, a strongly worded letter in protest, and probably after 5 years, only Muslims will be going there.
