Now about that photo. The dirt job sucks. You wouldn’t see dirt like that on the shelves. The dirt is the same tone on all surfaces and in the shadows. A little extra work on adding select tonal changes and you might have made it just a bit more realistic. Maybe.

And you can tell the dirt is on a layer. You can see where the dirt has been cleared away from the woman. Probably used an erase brush tool. It even lightens up the area around the woman because it is clear of the dirt.

Fail all around. But no surprise with Malkin and National Review.

I’m going: “That’s supposed to make the store look dirty? All it does is make the camera lens look dirty.”
