See, this is the really problem for the president. It is not just what he said, but the timeline of his actions that puts everything in context.

After Comey expands the investigation - you are fired.

For all the pounding the GOP did about intent last year, they sure do seem to love arguing that you can’t draw any conclusions from Trump’s actions without direct evidence.
