Justice Dept. Confirms: Trump Lied When He Accused Obama of "Wiretapping" Trump Tower

My Twitter fight last night about the New York Times claim that Trump’s iPhone “has no web browser” really left a bad taste in my mind.

It’s a stupid claim. If that’s what Trump’s people told the NYT writers, they were lying. If the writers misinterpreted some other claim this way, they’re idiots.

Yes, I’m well aware of Apple’s MDM system that lets an admin restrict access to apps, but even that does NOT remove the Safari web browser from an iPhone. It just conceals it. And since Trump is very obviously using the Twitter app on his iPhone, he doesn’t need it anyway — all he has to do is tap on a link and it will open in the Twitter app’s built-in webkit-based browser.

It really irritates me that some journalists think they understand these issues and feel free to insult and degrade people who point out they don’t. This is one reason why I continue to have big problems with US media in general, this “circling the wagons” approach to criticism. Way too many of these people are over-privileged, over-paid egotistical assholes who try to crush anyone who criticizes them.
