The Spanish i am learning is Mexican Spanish. Castilian Spanish, spoken in Spain, only has a few of the main words that are truly different, and, according to what I have read, I would be understood there.
True. As a non-native speaker of Spanish, you’d struggle more than a native speaker with “little things” like pronunciation, also make sure anywhere in Spanish that you know the current local use of 2nd person pronouns, but they’re largely the same.
The two variants of Portuguese have diverged more.
