High-poweered rifles are prohibited for hunting because they’re so destructive you can’t get a roast, or a rack of ribs, or whatevs, from the thing you shot.

The parents of the Uvalde kids are being DNA-swabbed, because their children’s bodies are so hideously damaged there’s no other way to identify them.
