That piece of art is so gorgeous. Admiring the fine detail and the tiny shiny beads, in awe with no hope of emulation. I need to get back to knitting someday, but cross-stitch isn’t on my bucket list.

The elephant seals weren’t nearly as pretty, I’m sure, but it would be fun to see pics of the baby if they turned out.

(oh well, off to the salt mines. hope there was nothing dramatic or traumatic in the second half of that 700+-comment thread. can only get on in the mornings or evenings, i miss most of the midday burbling.)
