Yeah Noonan’s rewriting history. And I’m sorry the fact that some of them did try reconciliation doesn’t change the fact that they started a Civil War that killed more Americans than any other war. It really amazes me how people can apologize for the CSA like that especially Northerners like Noonan.

Now why would I post this YouTube?

Because some of a certain generation hold this movie as an example of The Great South and how they were really great people that just made a little mistake. Besides, they were good to “those people.”

And I bet Noonan liked this movie. It had beautiful sets and lovely dresses.

How do I know this. I’ve mentioned my older brother that can be a real blockhead about race. His wife (yeah my sister in law) will watch this movie at the drop of a hat and talk about those lovely Southerner people of the time. Yuck.
