There’s not. I think the closest ER very is two hours away.

She’s been acting weird since yesterday morning. It wasn’t as bad as it is now. That just started.

She’s laying down now and is comfortable. My other dog, whom she is always bothering (she’s deaf, we rescued her a couple of years ago. She had a very rough life before we got her and she latched onto Sam as her ears, comfort, everything.) is snuggled up to her right now. He’s comforting her.

She’s a very old dog. We’ve been trying for six months just to keep weight in her. She has a bad heart and has been on heart meds since we got her. I’m not surprised. We’ve seen her failing a little bit and then a little bit more for a while. She was just at the vet two weeks ago for blood labs.

She’s also one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever had.

This is the part of dog companionship we hate the most. We’ll see what the very says tomorrow. I’m thinking she’ll get some McDonald’s on the way to the vet. Just because.
