I can see that. No knock. I just think most people didn’t realize Obama wasn’t an uber lefty and that was something I noticed earlier then most people.

Funny thing, I suspect I made the same mistake on o’Rourke. Figured a lot of his more abstract lip service to somewhat more libertarian ideal, where appropriate of course, were just that - lip service. Then a bunch more came out about his background and it seems he’s actually quite genuine on that. Still don’t agree with some of his legislative positions, but damn if he doesn’t seem like the sort of sensibly-liberal type I’d like to see in the white house. So hats off to you on that one, I guess ;)
