Do I recall right that you like older classic cars? I’m helping a guy out for a while at his British car restoral company. It’s interesting to work on a 1960’s era Triumph 250 after riding in a TR8 1970’s era car. Everything was so straightforward on those cars.
I do indeed like them. As I tell younger folk, I am not one of those delusional old farts who will claim that old cars were better. They weren’t, not by a long shot. They were a hell of a lot easier to work on though. This is something of a golden age for car restoration, same for old aircraft. Thanks, ironically, to new technology, like cad-cam in the early days and then 3d printing, it is often possible to re-create old parts in ones and twos at an economical cost.
