I was actually thinking, “This is a really interesting subject, but probably too dry and academic to go on the front page.” And then I thought, “Fuck that. This is what we need to be discussing if we’re ever going to defang the idiot troll mob.”

Most recorded lectures/speeches like this do tend to be a bit dry, but the subject is interesting and her research is fascinating, for example especially the part about Twitter being much better behaved than Facebook in terms of appeals to counter (hate) speech WRT events in Kenya in 2008.
