Greetings from a moderate-speed intercity train in China. We’re moving at 150kph (94 mph) between the provincial capital Changsha and another major city, Changde. The old train would have taken at least 6 hours. This one takes 4 to cover 280km/175 miles. The ride is smooth and quiet.

The USA has nothing like it, AFAIK.
