To someone who has studied military history this telegraphing of intentions is something new and exceedingly bizarre.
April, 1942: “Hey, Japan! Payback time! Our guy Doolittle is headed your way and he’s gonna’ kick ass!”

Yup. Stupid as hell. Looks we got all of our birds back home. The RAF launched 4 Tornadoes and the French launched at least 4 Rafales from an unknown location, maybe Larnaca also.

You just don’t telegraph that you are coming without endangering your strike force. Drumpf is an idiot.
