Most of the regular Texans I’ve heard express an opinion on the topic, no matter how they vote, understand that immigrants are here working, and doing jobs that otherwise would be undone.

That’s what makes Cruz unique for a Texas Republican imo. Even Rick Perry wasn’t a total rwnj on immigration and in fact his presidential campaign imo stalled because he wasn’t cruel enough like Romney and Frothy.
