When I was in college, we had “Intervis”, which was the intervisitation rules that stated that boys and girls were only allowed in the girls’ and boys’ (respectively) dorms until 2 AM. BUT there were no inspections of the rooms to look for violators, and the only penalty you faced if you were caught was Phil the Security Guard escorting you to the door.

We used to say that Intervis was designed to make sure boys and girls were in the girls’ and boys’ beds by a decent hour.
