Back from shingling the Habitat house. (Turns out the owner family is black.) I’ll be immune from this depressing shit, at least until the muscle soreness wears off.

I was inoculated on the way back from the post office. I stopped for a quick look at the Junque ‘n’ Stuff store on the corner, and the proprietrix said, “Are you hungry? Do you want some stew?” And I was hungry, and I got stew and bread and strawberries and whipped cream, just for showing up at the right time.
