I can’t watch the videos, but is the point of the exercise the whole “he’s not racist because I’m his friend and I have a higher than average melanin content?” Whatever. Anyway, the issue for me isn’t about race. It’s about a creep that stalked a teenager and then shot him. It’s at least manslaughter, or worthy of a serious attempt at prosecution for manslaughter. The fact that the authorities in Florida disagree is disgusting, and the race issue most likely has a lot to do with that…but those are two separate issues for me.

Zimmerman killed a kid because of some kind of paranoid action-hero fantasy, or because he’s a racist with paranoid action-hero fantasies, or because he’s just psychotic…I don’t know. All that matters is that he killed Trayvon Martin and he should be prosecuted for that.
