As an aside, I’m seeing some craziness from the right wing over the fact that President Obama just signed into law a provision granting presidents lifetime Secret Service protection.

They just ignore the fact that Congress passed the bill that the President is signing and that it returns coverage to the way it was before the law was amended in 1997. It’s the way it should have been all along. The President and his/her family remains a target even after leaving office.
