In terms of what is accomplished, the theory is that it’s important to expose and discredit the hate-talkers at their lower levels; in Hedgecock’s case, he’s an ex-mayor of a major US city, and keeping word out on someone like him (and gaining RWW-level exposure of his vile comments) lets the community know how far gone this once-establishment figure is.

And yet you whine about attention paid to Jim Hoft.

Like the successful campaign against Limbaugh, it also hurts his advertising base (at least one major sponsor cancelled on Hedgecock due to this exposure) and weakens his position that way.

How do you define ‘success’? Limbaugh is still on the air and still has millions of listeners and dollars.
