Perhaps all the recent stories about Russians getting whacked for standing up to Putin are reminding people why he is not such a good person for Trump to cozy up to——-or emulate.

Or, it’s more independents realizing they’ve been bamboozled, and the only support for Trump remains with his GOP hardliners who’d support a generic GOPer with the same kind of tenacity, even when they’re engaging in acts that would otherwise be considered high crimes and misdemeanors.
