The dollar/euro/yuan/pound/yen collapsing would do the same. Bitcoin capitalization right now is but a tiny fraction of the world’s available currencies, and even as a proponent of the technology, I doubt it will ever become a major player in the world economy. Cultists believe it will replace all fiat currencies in the future, but they’re frankly nuts.

The difference, though, is that the only way the dollar will collapse is if the US collapses, as in no country left. Thus, while the US exists, the dollar will be worth something in the US. The same with those other countries. Yes, the Depression shows what can happen when a currency gets weak and inflation takes hold, but even then there are things governments can do.

Bitcoin has no such backing.
