Right? I totally expected complete stonewall silence. Maybe even a few unfriends. But instead, I got some likes, some loves, and some supporting comments from people I didn’t anticipate… Including some family…

That’s wonderful! Even though a facebook post per sae may not look like any sort of “grand” action, it still took a lot of courage and - perhaps most important of all - it gave others who had similar feelings “permission” to speak out. Can’t recall now where I first saw this quote, but it pretty much sums it up:

“I don’t speak to persuade those who disagree. I speak to let those who feel the same way I do know they’re not alone.”
