For the rest of you, JP1101’s HC-144 is a brand-new type, having just entered service in 2008. It is one of many derivatives of the CASA-IPTN CN-235, basically a light tactical transport but very popular with maritime patrol operators all over the world.

Looks like it has C-123 in its genes.
