Absolutely. The application of our conventional ideas of morality to someone who’s been enslaved is a mistake, it seems to me. Expecting none of them to want to kill the white owners and their families is unrealistic.
And, in the Bible, didn’t Moses (indirectly, with God’s help) commit “murder” by killing the first born sons of Egyptian families? And his justification was the slavery of his people. Fine by me.
