The UK has always had mixed feelings about the EEC, EC, and EU. They haven’t gone away, even though the UK has seen more benefits from being in the EU than not.

Quitting the EU would have serious repercussions for the country, and proponents are outright lying about the effects. They did before the election (about how they’d pay for the national health service), and they’re lying still.
