Only paint jobs worse then the hide-it-cause-it’s-stolen ones are the hide-it-cause-it’s-valuable ones.
There’s always an exception. I had a friend in Seattle who worked for awhile as a frame painter at Davidson Cycles. She did an absolutely flawless hand sponged faux rust job on her personal titanium 650c road bike. She then stenciled in Davidson in barely visible white hairline lettering on the downtube. It was beautiful.
