The one show I watch on the Food Network is “The Kitchen”. The recipes there range from practical (they occasionally do recipes based on store-bought boxed or frozen items) to “I might actually be able to make that” to alcohol.
Today the are doing “Thanksgiving Live” and answering questions sent in either as video chat or messages and answering them. They even have Alton Brown on, who was asked how to thaw a turkey. And his suggestion was to get a circulation pump like for a fish tank and circulate the water. He says it will reduce thawing from 1lb/hr at 40F with you replacing the water every 30 minutes to 6 hours. He used a tub but he says you can do it in a sink:
