Never, ever buy a used car that came off a rental lot. For much the same reason you don’t want to buy a used graphics card that was part of a mining rig.

Rental companies may maintain those cars but what people do to them? Let’s see how fast this goes! What happens if I put a cat in Park while it’s moving? Weeeeee!

I’d never buy a rental vehicle.
