See and this is a big problem. Rules are pointless with no enforcement but retail workers don’t make enough money to want to waste their time enforcing anything the companies don’t want to be on the business end of lawsuits from customers who get angry with employees.

And they apparently don’t want to pay for additional security either.

This is why the state has to mandate it. Then every retailer has the same disadvantage.
