I’ve read and agree with some of John Ringo’s Last Centurion. If there was a big catastrophe to beset the United States any local militia that would spring up would be out of necessity for law and order to help bring society back to normal. They would work with local law enforcement, National Guard Units and US military units considering their makeup would be and should be mainly former/retired military and law enforcement. Civil War would do nothing to help this country and ranks up there with zombie holocaust fantasies.
