Because he would be cutting his own throat to violate a public promise in such a fashion. It would be a “Read My Lips” redux.

Why hasn’t he already ‘cut his throat’ by this vicious assault on public unions, when he didn’t campaign on it and, in fact, talked about negotiating with them to get them to reduce pensions but never, ever talked about removing their collective bargaining rights?

And he’s lied about that, too, claiming that he campaigned on this, while he didn’t.

So, again, why do you think you can trust what Walker says?
