They sell non-halal beef bacon up here too. It’s more expensive than pork bacon, but not as expensive as halal. I never saw any kind of beef bacon back in Texas, but things may have changed in the 15 years or so since I left.

Holy crap! I didn’t realize it had been so long since I left… O_o I still feel a little bit like a newbie up here sometimes, but I’ll bet if I ever went back to TX for a visit I’d have a severe case of culture shock.
