I remember people referring to Bush Derangement Syndrome during the Bush years. I don’t recall Clinton derangement syndrome as a term during his presidency, although it certainly existed…still does.

I assume it will be a fixture now like adding gate to the end of any scandal. It is a way of minimizing any criticism of the sitting president.

I didn’t hear BDS during Bush’s term (but I didn’t pay attention to politics at that time - too busy being homeless then under the Conservative Cruelty to disabled veterans then).

During Obama’s term, conservatives were deranged.
