IIRC, she used to work as a psychiatric technician, was injured on the job, and has been unemployed ever since. On the house thing, I read or saw a story that said her parents had bought a house (when she only had six children), and that the parents subsequently went bankrupt and were forced to move in with her - into the house they’d bought her.
