How is everyone this day?

I got a great night’s sleep for once and don’t feel like carp.

I finished The Big Rich. The author does a good job of explaining the history of Texas Oil money and how it has affected the entire world. I think he is fair and balanced, but the ultra-conservative may not.

He does focus on the big Four, and gives credit to the non-greedy, gamblers who were players as well.

Overall, reading the book did not raise my opinion of Texas, but I have a much better understanding why letting them secede won’t solve anything.
